Snowy egret on Big Dish landAbout an hour after the Dawn Jogger returned home from an extended Dish run, the skies again opened up and the rain poured down. So there was a reason she had the area practically to herself this morning – others had read the weather report. But anyone there before 9 AM was treated to gorgeous nuanced light caused by the low cloud ceiling, a glimpse of the snow on Mt. Hamilton, and the snowy egret on guard in its usual place. The eye/brain could see more than her trusty Lumix – there were textures and layers everywhere she looked. A really great outing with extra distance to feel virtuous about…
