Beauty of winter, coming of spring

robinIt was about 10 degrees warmer this morning when the Dawn Jogger set out for her Monday Dish run, a still chilly 40, producing a frosty golf course. She hit the Junipero Serra gate about the same time the sun came up (and will do so until day light savings time puts her in the dark again). With the sun’s rays, the barren oaks glow against the blue sky.

Another sight greeted her when she returned home – a pair of robins were hopping around the backyard. She think they werechecking out nesting possibilities. A pair has nested in the patio table umbrella for the past three years, so it’s not unexpected, although she thinks early. The real rub: there’s no male DJ to share in the changing season…
