Usually by this time of year, there’s not a drop of water anywhere near Lake Lagunita. But the June rains have left a a few large puddles near the dry lake bed. During the rainy months a stream of water pours into the Lake, which, in the past, has necessitated some tricky puddle jumping. Earlier this year, a bridge of sorts was placed across the widest part of the trough of water. And now some enterprising soul has added extra lumber to make sure it holds up during the next rainy season. The fact that it still comes in handy in August is what’s surprising…
